Lahore High Court’s Directive to Reopen 10 Theaters in Lahore Division
Theaters Given Green Light to Resume Operations
The Lahore High Court has issued an order to reopen 10 theaters in the Lahore Division.
Justice Rahil Kamran of the Lahore High Court heard the request from theater owners. The request challenged the government’s decision to close the theaters.
The court directed that the theaters be allowed to open until a decision is made by the relevant authorities, and if there are any complaints against the applicants, action should be taken in accordance with the law.
The court emphasized that no unlawful actions should be taken.
The theaters instructed to reopen by the High Court include Naz Theater, Mahfil Theater, Sitara Theater, Waris Theater, Sangam Theater, Gulistan Theater, Ravi Theater, and Nageena Theater.
It should be noted that the Punjab government had recently ordered the closure of all theaters in the Lahore Division following allegations of indecent acts in stage dramas in Lahore.
