Islamabad to Get Danish University of Emerging Technologies

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has formally sanctioned the establishment of the Danish University of Emerging Technologies in Sector H-16, Islamabad, marking a milestone in Pakistan’s commitment to advancing technological education.
According to official reports, the Federal Cabinet approved the university’s establishment through the circulation of a summary, signifying a high-priority initiative for national education reform.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated 102.5 acres (820.75 kanals) of land in Sector H-16 for the project, reinforcing Islamabad’s position as a hub for cutting-edge academic institutions.
The initiative is an extension of the Daanish School Project, a flagship program designed to provide high-quality education to underprivileged and deserving students across Pakistan, particularly in remote and economically disadvantaged regions. The government’s decision to expand this model into the domain of higher education aims to equip students with the knowledge and expertise required in emerging technologies on par with global standards.
The Danish University of Emerging Technologies will offer state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge research facilities, and a faculty of distinguished scholars, ensuring an academic environment conducive to intellectual and professional growth. The university aligns with the government’s broader vision of inclusive, equitable, and free higher education, empowering students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue advanced technological disciplines.
Modeled after the success of the Daanish School System, this institution aspires to become a center of excellence, fostering innovation, research, and development in emerging fields.
This strategic initiative underscores Pakistan’s commitment to fostering a knowledge-based economy, providing world-class educational opportunities to students who might otherwise lack access to such resources.
