Before the commencement of the Asia Cup, the Bangladesh cricket team has encountered a significant setback, with a major player ruled out from the tournament.
According to reports, Bangladesh’s formidable batter Liton Das has been rendered unable to participate in the Asia Cup due to a viral fever.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board stated that wicket-keeper Liton Das could not recover from the viral fever, resulting in his exclusion from the Asia Cup squad.
In his place, Imrul Kayes has been included in the squad and is set to join the team in Sri Lanka today.
It’s important to note that the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match in the Asia Cup is scheduled for August 31st.
