Pakistan’s Junior Squash Title Regained After 6 Years
Nauman Khan Shines Bright in Historic Victory
After not playing for six years, Pakistan has won the Asian Junior Squash Under-13 championship again. This happened in an exciting final match in Dalian, China. A Pakistani player named Nauman Khan won by beating his friend Ahmed Khalil. The final score was 9/11, 11/8, 6/11, 11/3, 11/9, and Nauman Khan won.
This is a big deal because Pakistan hasn’t won the Under-13 title in the Asian Junior Squash Championship for a long time. The last time they won was in 2016 with a player named Asadullah.
Pakistan did really well in the Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship too. They got three medals in total. Nauman Khan and Ahmad Rayyan Khalil did really good in the final match for the Under-13 category. Nauman Khan got the gold medal, and Ahmad Rayyan Khalil got the silver medal.
In the Under-17 category, a player named Abdullah Nawaz did a great job, even though he didn’t win the final match. He got the bronze medal after playing a close match against a player from Malaysia named Low Wa Sem. The final score was 4/11, 11/6, 6/11, 12/10, 7/11. This shows that Pakistan is really good at playing squash and did well in the championship.
