NexGen Auto has announced a notable price increase for the Jaecoo J7 PHEV in Pakistan, raising the cost of the mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV by Rs. 500,000. The vehicle, which was initially launched at Rs. 9,999,000, is now priced at Rs. 10,499,000, reflecting growing cost pressures in the auto sector.
The Jaecoo J7 PHEV is offered in two variants, Comfort and Premium, both powered by the same advanced plug-in hybrid setup. Under the hood, the SUV features a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine combined with an electric motor, producing a robust 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. This powertrain allows the vehicle to deliver strong performance while maintaining fuel efficiency.
Equipped with an 18.3 kWh battery pack, the J7 PHEV offers a pure electric driving range of up to 90 kilometres, making it suitable for daily urban commuting with minimal fuel usage. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 8.5 seconds and delivers a combined fuel economy of around 16.6 km per litre, balancing performance with efficiency.
To further enhance buyer confidence, Nishat Motors is backing the Jaecoo J7 PHEV with an extensive warranty package. This includes a 6-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty for the vehicle and an 8-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty for the battery, positioning the SUV as a competitive option in Pakistan’s growing hybrid and electric vehicle segment despite the recent price hike.
