Suzuki has unveiled its newest compact SUV, the Fronx, at the Pakistan Auto Show 2025 being held at the Karachi Expo Center from November 14 to 16. The launch marks Suzuki’s latest move into Pakistan’s rapidly expanding compact SUV category, attracting strong attention from visitors and industry stakeholders. The newly showcased Suzuki Fronx features a 1.5-liter engine capable of generating 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It comes with a 37-liter fuel tank and offers a range of modern comforts, including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For convenience and driver support, the Fronx includes cruise control, hill hold control, and a 360-degree camera. Safety equipment such as six airbags, ABS, and parking sensors further elevate its appeal. Inside the cabin, Suzuki has focused on delivering premium comfort through digital climate control, rear AC vents, wireless charging, and multifunction steering controls. Speaking at the event, Masafumi Harano, Managing Officer and Executive General Manager for Automobile Marketing in Asia, Latin America and Oceania, highlighted Suzuki’s global direction, emphasizing the company’s commitment to creating value through mobility. He noted that as the global auto industry moves toward cleaner, smarter and more efficient transportation, Suzuki is strengthening its focus on sustainable initiatives, including advancements in biogas technology. Pak Suzuki Managing Director Hiroshi Kawamura underscored the company’s five-decade presence in Pakistan, built on trust and long-standing partnerships. He reaffirmed the company’s “Made in Pakistan” philosophy, which continues to guide Suzuki’s growing lineup and contribution to the local automotive sector. Aamir Shaffi, Executive Officer for Marketing and Sales, explained that the Fronx introduces a fresh segment in the local market for customers looking to upgrade from hatchbacks and sedans, effectively bridging the space between smaller passenger cars and full SUVs. Designed to blend practicality, performance, and lifestyle appeal, the Fronx reflects Suzuki’s commitment to evolving with the needs of Pakistani consumers. The model enters a market where hatchback and sedan users make up more than half of total buyers, offering them bold styling, premium interiors, and advanced features at an accessible level. Suzuki emphasized its goal of supporting sustainable mobility while contributing to Pakistan’s automotive growth through local production and innovation. Specifications presented at PAPS 2025 are based on the international model, and the final features of the locally produced Pakistani variant may differ slightly once launched.
