Pakistan Exports Cars to 20 Countries, Including Japan and U.S., Earning Rs 1.41 Billion in Foreign Exchange

Pakistan has made significant progress in its automotive sector by successfully exporting locally assembled cars to 20 international markets, as announced by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. Key export destinations include Japan, the United States, China, Qatar, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Lebanon, Liberia, and Kenya. This achievement highlights Pakistan’s expanding role in the global automotive supply chain.

Since 2022, a total of 434 vehicles have been exported, generating Rs 1.41 billion in foreign exchange earnings. Export figures show steady growth, with 100 vehicles shipped in the 2022–2023 fiscal year, 107 in 2023–2024, and 227 in 2024–2025. These numbers reflect increasing international demand for Pakistani-assembled vehicles and improving production capabilities.

A total of 108 companies have participated in the export activity, signaling a broader industry-wide effort to reach new markets and strengthen Pakistan’s presence in global trade. This development represents a milestone for the country’s auto manufacturing industry, showcasing its potential for competitiveness, innovation, and sustainable growth in international markets.
