District Authority Mandates Group Photos for School Staff Attendance

The District Education Authority has issued a directive to improve attendance, punctuality, and monitoring in public schools. All government schools are now required to take a daily group photograph of teaching and non-teaching staff at 8:45 AM to ensure staff presence during school hours.

Schools must use the Canva camera app to capture the photo and attach it to the attendance register. Photographs should then be compiled into a single PDF and sent via WhatsApp by 9:30 AM each day. Headteachers are responsible for submitting daily attendance reports to the relevant authorities.

The DEA has warned that school heads who fail to comply with these instructions will face strict disciplinary action.
