Popular Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt, who has more than 7.74 million subscribers, was deported from the United Kingdom after British immigration authorities cancelled his visa for concealing multiple pending criminal cases in Pakistan. He left London on an early-morning flight to Pakistan, accompanied by fellow YouTuber Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Nadeem Naniwala. The UK Home Office issued deportation orders after determining that Rajab Butt had hidden information about ongoing legal proceedings in Pakistan, a serious violation of UK immigration laws that resulted in the immediate cancellation of his visa, which was originally valid until 2027.
After arriving in Pakistan, Rajab Butt is not expected to face arrest upon landing, but the Islamabad High Court has ordered both influencers to appear in person on December 10. Justice Raja Inam Amin issued the directive while hearing petitions related to the cases registered against them in different regions. The YouTubers are currently facing several allegations, including cybercrime complaints.
Pakistan’s National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has filed an FIR accusing Rajab Butt of promoting illegal gambling and betting applications, along with misusing digital platforms for unlawful online activities. His deportation has drawn attention to growing scrutiny of social media influencers, both in immigration checks abroad and in Pakistan’s crackdown on digital content linked to illegal practices. The upcoming court appearance will determine the next steps in the legal proceedings against both content creators.
