King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia has opened applications for the 2026 Visiting Student Research Program, offering a fully funded international internship for undergraduate and master’s students in STEM fields. The three to six-month program provides hands-on research experience at one of the world’s leading universities, including a monthly stipend of $1,000, round-trip airfare, on-campus housing with private facilities, health insurance, visa support, access to advanced laboratories, professional mentorship, and cultural activities. The program covers research areas such as science, engineering, technology, environmental science, computer science, mathematical and physical sciences, electrical engineering, water research, energy studies, and biological sciences. Applicants must be undergraduate students in their third year or higher or master’s students, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4, and demonstrate strong English proficiency. PhD candidates, current KAUST students, and alumni are not eligible. Required documents include a CV, official academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and a valid passport. Applications are accepted year-round through the online portal, and shortlisted candidates are notified within a few weeks. The program aims to provide global students with valuable research experience, professional guidance, and exposure to advanced scientific facilities while fostering international collaboration in STEM education.
