COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus has announced the updation of its pool of visiting faculty and is inviting applications from qualified and interested candidates for non-permanent academic positions. These visiting faculty opportunities are offered on contract basis and aim to strengthen teaching capacity across multiple disciplines at the Lahore campus.
The visiting faculty positions are available at the level of Assistant Professor and Lecturer in a wide range of academic areas. In the humanities discipline, subjects include psychology, Islamic studies, English, international relations, Pakistan studies, sociology, and French. In management sciences, opportunities are available in data analytics, including Python for programming, statistics and mathematics for business analytics, business data science covering machine learning and natural language processing, business data visualization using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Python, and Excel, as well as databases for business applications.
Marketing-related subjects include fundamentals of marketing, consumer behaviour, integrated marketing communications, brand management, strategic marketing, and advanced marketing. In finance, visiting faculty positions are open for investment and portfolio management, international finance, and financial institutions and markets. Additional academic areas include architecture, art and design, computer science, and statistics.
Candidates applying for inclusion in the visiting faculty pool must meet the eligibility criteria published by COMSATS University Islamabad. Applications are to be submitted on the prescribed application form along with duly attested copies of academic and non-academic credentials. All required documents must reach the university within fifteen days of the advertisement publication.
Applicants are required to attach a separate pay order or demand draft of Rs. 500 as a non-refundable processing fee in favor of COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus with each application. Professionals who are already serving as visiting faculty at the Lahore campus and were selected through previous advertisements are not required to apply again.
All applications will be processed strictly on merit according to the eligibility criteria announced by the university. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for demonstration or interview. Candidates included in the pre-qualified visiting faculty pool may be engaged as required in future semesters on semester-based daily wage or visiting contracts after approval from the competent authority. Inclusion in the visiting faculty pool does not confer any right to claim permanent employment. No TA or DA will be admissible for interviews or demonstrations.
