Lenovo is gearing up to launch the fifth generation of its Y700 gaming tablet next month and has begun teasing the device on Weibo. Shortly after the official teaser appeared, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station shared additional details about the upcoming tablet, offering a clearer picture of what to expect.

According to official teaser posters, the Lenovo Y700 Gen 5 will feature an 8.8-inch display with a resolution of 3040 × 1904 pixels. The screen will support a 165Hz refresh rate along with a 2640Hz touch sampling rate, aimed at delivering faster response times and smoother gameplay. The display is expected to reach up to 800 nits of peak brightness and support 12-bit color depth. While Lenovo has not officially confirmed the panel type, the tablet is reportedly using an LCD panel similar to the one found in the previous generation.

In terms of performance, the Lenovo Y700 Gen 5 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The base variant is said to include 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage. Lenovo is also expected to offer higher-end configurations featuring 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage, along with a top-tier model offering 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, targeting power users and mobile gamers.

Battery capacity is another area seeing a major upgrade. The upcoming gaming tablet is expected to pack a 9,000mAh battery, a notable increase from the 7,600mAh battery used in the previous model. The device is also tipped to support 68W fast charging, allowing for quicker recharging during extended gaming sessions.

Lenovo is expected to officially unveil the Y700 Gen 5 gaming tablet next month, with the teaser campaign already building anticipation ahead of the launch. The new model is positioned to offer meaningful improvements in display performance, processing power, and battery life for gaming-focused users.
