BHP hit by rare strike at Port Hedland iron-ore hub as more workers join
About 150 workers have downed tools at the world's largest iron-ore export port in the first major stoppage there in 25 years.

More workers joined a strike at BHP's Port Hedland operations in Western Australia on Sunday, a union spokesperson said, the first major industrial action at the iron-ore export hub in a quarter of a century.
On the second day of the planned two-day stoppage, around 100 workers walked off at the world's biggest iron-ore export terminal, taking the total to roughly 150.
The 24-hour action by three unions of the Combined BHP Ports Unions followed a ship-loading halt on Saturday. BHP, which ships about $80 million of iron ore daily through the port, said vessels continued to be loaded.
