A team from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has won the overall silver medal and secured first position among foreign participants at the 13th International Army Cadets Week held in Nanjing, China. The event took place at the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Army Engineering University, where the team from NUST's College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CEME) outperformed all other foreign contingents.

The Pakistan Embassy in China confirmed the achievement on Thursday, congratulating the team in a post on X. The embassy stated, "Congratulations to the NUST College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering team on securing 1st Position among Foreign Participating Countries & winning the 'Silver Medal Overall' at the 13th International Army Cadets Week, held at Army Engineering University, PLA, Nanjing, China."

This success adds to a series of strong performances by Pakistani military personnel in international competitions this year. In June, a Pakistan Army team representing the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) secured first place at the International Pacesticking Competition 2026, held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.

Similarly, Pakistan Army cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas of PMA's 152nd Long Course was named the "overall best foreign military cadet" by Australia's Royal Military College (RMC) on May 6. The recognition followed the passing-out parade at RMC Duntroon in Canberra on May 5, 2026. The award is presented to the highest-performing foreign military cadet based on performance across all aspects of training.

These achievements highlight the growing prowess of Pakistani cadets in international military competitions and reflect the rigorous training and discipline instilled in them by their institutions.
