PM’s IT Certification Reimbursement Program Opens: Up to Rs. 70,000 for Global Tech Certifications

The federal government has opened registrations for the Prime Minister’s IT Certification Reimbursement Program, offering financial assistance of up to Rs. 70,000 to eligible IT graduates and professionals who obtain internationally recognized technology certifications.

Implemented by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, the initiative aims to enhance the technical skills of Pakistani professionals and improve their competitiveness in the global job market.

Under the program, candidates can apply for approved certifications from leading global technology companies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Google, Cisco, and Oracle. Successful applicants will receive reimbursement for eligible certification expenses after passing their examinations and completing the required verification process.

According to PSEB, the reimbursement limit is Rs. 70,000 for approved international IT certifications. Candidates must first register through the official portal, select an eligible certification, and complete the examination conducted by the relevant certification provider. They must then upload their official certificate, examination fee receipt, and other required documents to claim reimbursement. The amount will be released after the program team verifies the submitted information and approves the claim.

The Rs. 70,000 is a reimbursement limit, not a fixed cash payment for registration. Candidates can receive reimbursement only for eligible certification expenses under the program’s conditions. The program is designed for Pakistani IT graduates and professionals seeking internationally recognized qualifications.
