Qatar Offers Free 30-Day Visa on Arrival for Pakistani Travellers
Eligible Pakistani passport holders can now obtain a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival in Qatar, provided they meet document, accommodation and health requirements set by the Gulf state's Ministry of Interior.

Qatar is extending a free visa-on-arrival facility to eligible Pakistani passport holders, allowing them to remain in the Gulf country for up to 30 days for tourism, according to guidance issued by Qatar's Ministry of Interior. The arrangement removes the need for travellers to secure a visa in advance, but it is contingent on a set of entry conditions that must be satisfied before departure.
Under the headline requirements, applicants must hold a valid Pakistani passport, present a confirmed round-trip air ticket, book accommodation through Discover Qatar, and carry health insurance purchased from an accredited provider. Authorities note that these four elements form the core of the free visa-on-arrival framework for Pakistani nationals travelling for tourism.
Official guidance also points to additional checks for passengers arriving directly from Pakistan. These include proof of sufficient financial resources and a polio vaccination certificate, which travellers should prepare in advance. Because separate official pages list differing conditions, applicants are advised to confirm the exact requirements with their airline or Qatari immigration authorities before booking.
Passport validity is another point of caution. One Ministry of Interior page specifies a minimum of three months' validity, while a Pakistani-specific entry page requires six months. Travellers are encouraged to hold at least six months of remaining validity to avoid complications at check-in or on arrival.
The facility is aimed at Pakistani nationals visiting Qatar for tourism who meet the country's immigration criteria. Prospective travellers should organise hotel reservations, insurance and supporting documents well ahead of their journey, and verify the latest rules closer to their travel date, as entry conditions can be updated.
For Pakistani travellers, the free visa-on-arrival scheme lowers the cost and paperwork associated with visiting Qatar, a popular destination for business, family visits and leisure. Ensuring all documents are in order before departure remains essential to making use of the facility without disruption.
