The Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister IT Internship Program (CMITIP), a paid internship initiative aimed at providing fresh IT and computer science graduates across the province with hands-on industry experience. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice by placing interns in leading software and technology firms, giving them practical exposure to real-world IT projects. Selected participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000, fully funded by the provincial government, while undertaking a five-month internship program. During this period, interns will gain practical experience in high-demand areas of information technology and work directly with private-sector companies on meaningful assignments. The program covers a wide range of IT roles, including 3D animation and graphics, software development, Salesforce administration, Laravel and PHP development, DevOps, product management, and other related positions, enabling participants to develop versatile technical skills. To be eligible, candidates must hold a degree in IT, computer science, or a related field completed within the last four years, possess a valid CNIC, and have a Punjab domicile. Interested graduates can submit their applications online through the official portal. The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is managing the program, emphasizing its role as a flagship initiative to promote youth employment and strengthen the province’s growing technology sector by equipping young professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy.
