The Punjab government has launched a new initiative under the CM Punjab Green Credit Program that allows households to earn financial incentives by installing approved solar devices at home. The program aims to promote cleaner energy use, including solar panels, solar geysers, solar stoves, and energy-efficient fans. Each verified installation earns one green credit, valued at Rs. 10,000.
To participate, residents must upload proof of purchase and their utility bill reference number through the MRV form on the official CMPGCP web portal. Only registered applicants who complete the verification process will be eligible to receive credits.
This initiative supports Punjab’s broader climate and environmental goals by encouraging low-carbon household energy solutions and providing a direct monetary incentive for adopting solar technology. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this program by installing approved solar-powered devices and submitting the required documentation online for verification.
