Pakistan has dispatched its 27th humanitarian relief consignment for the war-affected people of Palestine, reaffirming its continued support amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. According to Radio Pakistan, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), acting on the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, arranged the latest shipment to provide urgently needed assistance to civilians impacted by the conflict.
The new relief consignment, weighing 100 tons, was sent with the support of the Alkhidmat Foundation and transported via a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. The shipment includes a wide range of essential supplies such as blankets, tarpaulins, clothing, hygiene kits, and family relief packages, aimed at addressing the immediate shelter, clothing, and sanitation needs of displaced and vulnerable Palestinian families.
With the dispatch of this latest shipment, Pakistan’s total humanitarian assistance to Palestine through 27 consignments has now reached 2,627 tons. Officials said these relief efforts reflect Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian principles and solidarity with the Palestinian people during times of crisis.
Earlier, Pakistan strongly condemned the recent attacks carried out by Israeli occupying forces across Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of several Palestinian civilians, including women and children, and left many others injured. In a press statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson described the attacks as a blatant violation of international law, relevant United Nations resolutions, and the recently concluded peace agreement at Sharm el-Sheikh.
The spokesperson added that such actions undermine international efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region, and called for the protection of civilians and adherence to international humanitarian law. Pakistan has consistently urged the international community to take effective steps to end the violence and ensure immediate humanitarian access for the affected population.
