The National Database and Registration Authority offices across Pakistan continue to provide dedicated facilities for persons with disabilities, reinforcing efforts to ensure inclusive access to identity documentation nationwide. On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, NADRA reiterated its commitment to making sure that no citizen is denied legal identification due to physical or mental challenges.
As part of its inclusive policy, NADRA issues a special computerized national identity card for persons with disabilities free of cost for the first time. These cards carry a distinctive mark, are valid for life, and have already been issued to more than one million individuals across the country.
To further facilitate accessibility, persons with disabilities can book appointments in advance through NADRA’s dedicated helpline, reducing waiting times and inconvenience. NADRA offices are also equipped with wheelchairs, while applicants are processed under the executive category to ensure priority service without standing in long queues.
In addition, the Pak ID mobile application allows users to schedule appointments at NADRA centers and register their disability online, offering a convenient digital alternative. These measures reflect NADRA’s ongoing efforts to promote equal access, dignity, and inclusion for persons with disabilities across Pakistan.
