The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has outlined the official procedure for correcting errors in land records. Citizens seeking corrections must visit a designated PLRA service centre with their original national identity card.
At the reception, applicants register their ID details, undergo photograph and biometric verification, and receive a service token. The citizen’s land record is then examined by a service centre official to determine whether the error stems from a data entry mistake or relates to field staff records.
The official registers the complaint, known as a Fard Badr, prepared by data entry or field staff, and forwards it to the service centre in-charge. The in-charge compares the revised document with the existing record and sends it for verification to the Assistant Director of Land Records (ADLR). The ADLR conducts an inquiry and, once satisfied, formally verifies the Fard Badr, completing the correction process.
