Islamabad International Airport has become the first airport in Pakistan to receive a 3-star rating from the global airport ranking agency Skytrax, marking a significant achievement for the country’s aviation sector. The rating, which assesses airport facilities, passenger services, and overall management, highlights Islamabad Airport’s upgraded infrastructure and improved amenities for travelers.
Skytrax, a leading authority in airline and airport evaluations since 1999, sets international benchmarks for service quality and operational standards. Alongside Islamabad, Dubai Airport also earned a 3-star rating, while Pakistan’s other major airports, Lahore and Karachi, maintained their 2-star classifications.
This recognition underscores Islamabad Airport’s ongoing efforts to enhance the passenger experience, streamline operations, and meet global standards, positioning it as a key hub in South Asia and signaling broader improvements across Pakistan’s aviation industry.
