The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the temporary recruitment of 10,000 teachers across the province to support education in both settled and merged districts. The monthly salary for the appointed teachers will be up to Rs. 25,000.
Of the total posts, 5,845 positions will be allocated to schools in the settled districts, while 4,229 posts will be filled in the merged tribal districts. The appointments will be time-bound and vary by region, with teachers in plain areas serving from January 16 to May 31 and those in hilly regions appointed from March 1 to June 30.
Recruitment responsibilities are divided according to school level: primary school hiring will be overseen by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), middle school appointments by the District Deputy Education Officer (DDEO), and high and higher secondary school recruitment by the District Education Officer (DEO). To ensure transparency and proper oversight, the Parent-Teacher Council will monitor the recruitment process throughout the hiring period.
