Five Students Killed in Layyah as Speeding Trailer Crashes Into Them

Five students lost their lives when a speeding trailer collided with two motorcycles on Layyah Road near Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, according to rescue officials. The victims were identified as Abdullah, Abdul Rehman, Muhammad Adil, Basit, and Dua Fatima, with ages ranging between 10 and 16 years. Preliminary reports indicate that excessive speed of the trailer was a major factor in the accident.

In a separate incident on January 11 in Jamrud town, Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four people, including a groom, were killed and one person injured in a head-on collision between a car and a truck. The accident occurred while the groom was returning from a salon with friends after wedding preparations, turning a celebration into mourning. The deceased were identified as Nauman, Mansoor, Sohail, and Zarab. Police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene, transporting the injured and deceased to a nearby hospital. The area was cordoned off, evidence collected, and an investigation launched to determine the cause of the collision.
