Security across Lahore has been tightened and the city has been placed on high alert following a recent security incident in Islamabad. Authorities have moved swiftly to strengthen law and order measures to ensure public safety throughout the provincial capital.
Lahore Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kaimkhani has directed law enforcement agencies to enhance security at mosques, imambargahs, and other religious sites, while also increasing patrols and surveillance at public places, commercial areas, and busy markets where large gatherings are expected.
Police officials have been instructed to intensify monitoring at all entry and exit points of Lahore to prevent any potential security threats. Senior supervisory officers are required to remain present in the field to maintain continuous oversight, and special police teams have been deployed to closely monitor sensitive and high-risk locations identified as security hotspots.
The Safe City Authority is continuing real-time monitoring of major roads and sensitive areas through its extensive camera surveillance system to support police operations and ensure rapid response in case of emergencies.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement by immediately reporting any suspicious activity through helpline 15 or by contacting their nearest police station.
