A new Chromebook manufacturing and assembly initiative backed by Google is set to launch in Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The project aims to locally produce Chromebooks tailored for educational use while integrating advanced AI tools into classrooms across the province.
This collaboration will also focus on training thousands of teachers and equipping schools—both urban and rural—with modern digital devices and software. The initiative represents a major step toward transforming Punjab into a regional hub for technology and innovation, promoting digital literacy, job creation, and sustainable growth in the education technology sector.
