The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced an online e-Challan portal that enables drivers in Punjab to cancel incorrect or duplicate traffic fines from home. This digital initiative is designed to simplify the process, making it faster and more transparent for motorists.
According to PSCA officials, the new system helps citizens save time by eliminating the need to visit offices or wait in long queues. Through the portal, drivers can review and dispute wrongly issued challans in just a few steps. To access the service, users can visit the PSCA e-Challan portal, enter their vehicle registration number and CNIC, and choose the “Review” option. They can then explain the issue, such as receiving a duplicate challan for the same date or time. Once the request is submitted, PSCA officials verify the details, and if the challan is found to be incorrect, it is canceled.
The service is also accessible through the “Public Safety” mobile app, available on Android and iOS, allowing users to submit and track their review requests easily. Officials noted that this digital system will minimize human errors, speed up case verification, and offer greater convenience to vehicle owners.
Motorists have welcomed the online service as a positive step toward improving transparency and accountability in traffic management. The PSCA’s e-Challan portal supports the Punjab government’s broader goal of digitalizing public services and reducing unnecessary paperwork while making traffic fine resolution more efficient and citizen-friendly.
