Punjab Imposes New Vehicle Emission Testing Fees Effective November 10

The Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has implemented new emission testing fees for vehicles, effective November 10. According to the official notification, vehicles up to 1,000cc will be charged Rs. 500, those between 1,001cc and 1,500cc will pay Rs. 800, vehicles ranging from 1,501cc to 2,500cc will be charged Rs. 1,000, those between 2,501cc and 4,500cc will pay Rs. 1,500, and vehicles above 4,500cc will be subject to a Rs. 2,000 fee.

The department announced that all payments must be made online through the e-Pay system, and users will receive a confirmation message on their registered mobile number after completing the transaction. Motorists are also required to bring their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) when appearing for the vehicle emission test.
