Hungary has announced fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students for the 2026–27 academic year, offering a major opportunity to study at some of the country’s top public universities. The program covers multiple study levels, including bachelor’s, master’s, long master’s, PhD, and various non-degree programs, allowing students from diverse academic backgrounds to apply. Fields available under the scholarship include science and technology, engineering, business and economics, agriculture, health and medical sciences, arts, humanities, and social sciences.
The scholarships provide comprehensive financial support. Students selected for bachelor’s, master’s, and long master’s programs will receive full tuition fee coverage, a monthly stipend to help with living expenses, and health insurance as required by Hungarian law. Accommodation support is also included, either in the form of a furnished dormitory placement or a monthly housing allowance. PhD students receive a higher monthly stipend to support their research and academic needs. In some cases, students may also receive travel assistance to help cover the cost of flying from Pakistan to Hungary.
The program encourages academic exchange between Pakistan and Hungary, promoting international collaboration and giving students access to high-quality education and research facilities in a European environment. Hungarian universities participating in the scholarship are known for their strong academic standards, multicultural campuses, and affordable cost of living compared to other European countries.
Pakistani students who wish to apply must do so before the deadline of 15 January 2026. Applicants typically need to submit academic transcripts, proof of English-language proficiency (such as IELTS or TOEFL, depending on the program), a motivation letter, and other required documents specified by their chosen university and study program. Once shortlisted, students may be asked to participate in an interview or an additional assessment.
This fully funded opportunity aims to help talented Pakistani students pursue higher education abroad without financial barriers, while strengthening educational ties between Hungary and Pakistan.
