Applications are now open for the fully funded ANSO Scholarship 2026 in China, offering international students an opportunity to pursue master’s and PhD degree programs at leading Chinese institutions. ANSO, short for the Alliance of International Science Organizations, is a non-profit international organization established to enhance global education standards, promote science and technology, and strengthen international cooperation and communication. Around 36 scientific institutions, universities, and international organizations worldwide are founding members of ANSO. Through this initiative, fully funded scholarships are provided to international students to study in China at the postgraduate level.

The ANSO Scholarship 2026 in China is aimed at young and talented future scientists who wish to pursue master’s or doctoral studies abroad. The main objective of this fully funded scholarship is to train and develop promising researchers from across the world. Each year, ANSO funds approximately 100 to 200 scholarships for master’s students and around 300 scholarships for PhD candidates. These scholarships are offered at prestigious institutions such as the University of Science and Technology of China and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as institutes affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Founded in 1958, the University of Science and Technology of China is among the most prominent universities in the country and is internationally recognized for academic excellence. The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences is an innovative institution with a strong focus on graduate education and advanced research.

A special category under the CAS-ANSO degree program is the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship, which was officially launched in 2022. This initiative reflects the priorities of TWAS and UNESCO and gives special consideration to women applicants and candidates from least developed countries. Under this category, up to 50 PhD students from developing countries are selected each year.

The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2026 is fully funded and sponsored by founding members of ANSO. The scholarship in China is open to eligible international students from all countries. The duration of the scholarship differs for master’s and doctoral programs and cannot be extended under any circumstances. China has become an increasingly popular destination for higher education due to affordable living costs and the strong global rankings of its universities. In addition to this program, China offers a wide range of government and university-funded scholarships for international students.

For the 2026 intake, a total of 500 fully funded scholarships are available, and the application fee is completely waived. This makes the CAS ANSO Scholarship 2026 an excellent opportunity for students who want to study in China without financial burden. The scholarship duration is up to 36 months for master’s programs and up to 48 months for PhD programs. It is fully funded, covers study in China, and has an application deadline of 31 January 2026.

To be eligible for the ANSO Scholarship 2026 in China, applicants must not hold Chinese nationality and must demonstrate proficiency in either Chinese or English. Applicants must meet the admission requirements for international students set by the University of Science and Technology of China or the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. During the scholarship period, recipients are not allowed to take on other projects or assignments, and failure to pass annual assessments may lead to termination of the scholarship and loss of degree eligibility.

The fully funded ANSO Scholarship 2026 in China offers extensive financial benefits. These include a full tuition fee waiver, an application fee waiver, a monthly stipend of 3,000 CNY for master’s students, and a monthly stipend ranging from 6,000 to 7,000 CNY for PhD candidates.
