The Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China, has opened applications for its fully funded International Scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year. The program welcomes students from around the world to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at one of China’s top research universities, renowned for innovation in engineering, science, and technology.
The scholarships are offered under two main categories — the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) and the NPU President’s Scholarship — both of which provide full tuition coverage, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance. Master’s students will receive a stipend of 3,000 CNY per month, while PhD candidates will get 3,500 CNY. Undergraduate students can qualify for full or partial tuition waivers under the President’s Scholarship.
Through the Belt and Road International Student Scholarship, additional financial support is available — 15,000 CNY for undergraduates, 20,000 CNY for Master’s, and 25,000 CNY for PhD students — along with partial or full tuition coverage.
NPU offers diverse academic disciplines, including Electronics and Information, Automation, Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Life Sciences, Humanities, Economics, Law, and Foreign Languages.
Applications for undergraduate programs will be processed in two batches:
Batch 1 runs from November 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026, and Batch 2 from January 16 to March 15, 2026.
