A total of 47 researchers from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) have been recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists for 2025, according to the latest global rankings by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. This marks a significant rise in NUST’s research footprint, with the number of top-ranked scientists doubling from 23 in 2022 to 47 in 2025. The rankings highlight contributions across 15 academic disciplines, including artificial intelligence, engineering, biomedical sciences, and cybersecurity. This diverse representation reflects the university’s focus on interdisciplinary research and its commitment to addressing global challenges through innovation and academic excellence. NUST’s continued rise in international recognition is further supported by its performance in the QS World Rankings 2025–26, where it holds the 371st position globally and ranks 6th in South Asia. These achievements underscore the institution’s growing influence in the global research landscape and its ongoing dedication to fostering high-impact scholarship.
