Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded a landmark moment in its sports history as athlete Hijab Ajmal clinched the province’s first-ever gold medal in sailing at the 35th National Games Karachi 2025.
Competing in the Women’s Sailing (Laser Radial) category at the Karachi Yacht Club, she showcased outstanding control, precision, and perseverance on the water, outperforming competitors to secure the top podium position.
Her breakthrough victory is being hailed as a major boost for KP’s emerging sports talent, especially in disciplines where the province has not traditionally been represented.
