HP has unveiled the EliteBoard G1a at CES 2026, a unique Windows PC fully integrated into a keyboard, earning recognition as a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree. The device is being marketed as the world’s first full AI PC in a keyboard, combining compact form with full computing capabilities.
The EliteBoard G1a features a full-size keyboard measuring 17mm in thickness and weighing under 750 grams. Despite its slim design, it includes dual microphones and stereo speakers, functioning as a complete PC rather than just a peripheral. The system is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors, delivering over 50 TOPS of neural processing performance, with integrated Radeon 800M series graphics. Users can upgrade RAM via DDR5 SODIMM modules and expand storage with M.2 NVMe drives.
For connectivity, the keyboard includes one USB 4.0 port and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, both supporting power delivery and video output, alongside Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless use. Cooling is managed with intake vents on the underside, a single internal fan, and rear exhaust vents.
The EliteBoard G1a runs Windows 11 and features a dedicated Copilot key for AI tasks. An optional 32Wh battery provides up to 3.5 hours of usage, and a 65W USB-C adapter is included. Additional options include a fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button and a tethered USB-C cable to secure the keyboard to a desk.
HP confirmed that the EliteBoard G1a will be available starting in March, though pricing has not yet been announced. The launch represents a novel approach to compact computing, merging AI-powered performance with a portable keyboard form factor.
