Google is integrating its Gemini AI features directly into the Chrome browser, bringing a range of productivity and creative tools to users. A new sidebar interface allows continuous AI chats across multiple tabs, letting users summarize reviews, compare products, or manage schedules without leaving their current page.

The update introduces “Nano Banana,” Google’s in-browser image generator, which was previously only available in the Gemini app. Users can now create or edit AI-generated images directly in Chrome, streamlining creative workflows.

Future plans include “Personal Intelligence,” which will make Chrome a context-aware assistant by remembering past interactions and accessing information from Connected Apps like Gmail and Calendar.

For AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US, a preview of “auto browse” is available. This tool can navigate websites autonomously to complete tasks such as reordering products, although it still pauses for critical steps like payment. Overall, these features aim to make Chrome a more interactive and automated environment for multitasking, creativity, and online shopping.
