Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to launch a new weekly flight connecting Karachi and Riyadh starting January 2, 2026, further expanding its network to Saudi Arabia. The national carrier already operates flights to Riyadh from Islamabad and Lahore, and this additional service aims to cater to the growing demand for travel between Karachi and the Saudi capital.

According to the flight schedule, PK729 will depart Karachi every Friday at 8:45 PM on an Airbus A320 and reach Riyadh at 10:45 PM after a four-hour journey. The return flight, PK730, will leave Riyadh early on Saturday at 12:05 AM, arriving in Karachi at 5:10 AM following a flight duration of three hours and five minutes.

PIA officials stated that the new route is designed to support business travelers, expatriate workers, and families who frequently commute between the two cities. The airline’s expansion reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance international connectivity, provide convenient travel options, and rebuild customer confidence in its services.
