Sri Lanka’s low-cost airline FitsAir is set to commence direct flights between Colombo and Lahore starting January 20, 2026, enhancing air connectivity between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The carrier will operate two weekly flights every Tuesday and Saturday using its Airbus A320 aircraft.
The new route provides Pakistani travelers a budget-friendly option to reach Colombo and connect to other regional destinations, while offering Sri Lankan visitors easier access to northern Pakistan. FitsAir originally launched in 1997 as ExpoAir, focusing on domestic and international cargo operations. Over more than two decades, it established a reputation as a reliable logistics carrier, maintaining supply chains during periods of political and economic instability in Sri Lanka.
In 2022, the airline rebranded as FitsAir and entered the passenger market, becoming Sri Lanka’s first private airline to operate international commercial flights. Since then, it has steadily expanded its network across South Asia and the Middle East, with the Colombo–Lahore service marking its continued growth in international connectivity.
