Pakistani passport holders now have easier access to select European and Europe-adjacent destinations through e-visas and simplified entry procedures in 2026, reducing travel barriers and promoting tourism and business trips. While Schengen countries continue to require traditional visas, destinations such as Albania, Moldova, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia offer practical alternatives for Pakistani travelers seeking cultural, historical, and leisure experiences.
Albania and Moldova allow online e-visa applications, enabling travelers to enjoy European-style trips without the need for embassy visits. Albania, located in the Balkans, is ideal for short stays with historic towns, Mediterranean beaches, and budget-friendly travel options. Moldova in Eastern Europe combines cultural heritage with simplified entry procedures, making it increasingly attractive for Pakistani visitors.
Europe-edge countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, also offer online e-visas, allowing Pakistani travelers to bypass Schengen visa requirements. Turkey offers city breaks, historical landmarks, and Mediterranean coastlines, while Azerbaijan’s capital Baku and Georgia’s Tbilisi and Batumi provide a mix of European-style urban life, cultural sites, and natural scenery.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2026, Pakistani passports rank joint 98th globally, granting access to 31 destinations either visa-free, through visa-on-arrival, or via electronic travel authorizations. Beyond Europe, Pakistani travelers can visit countries in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Oceania with simplified entry, including popular destinations such as Barbados, the Maldives, Kenya, and Seychelles.
Experts note that these developments expand short-term travel opportunities for Pakistani nationals, providing safer, faster, and more cost-effective access to Europe, Eurasia, and other global destinations, while encouraging tourism, cultural exchange, and business engagement.
