UN Reports Israel Denied 107 Aid Requests to Gaza Since Ceasefire

The United Nations has reported that Israeli authorities have rejected 107 requests for the entry of essential aid into the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire on October 10. According to UN spokesperson Farhan Haq, the blocked relief shipments included blankets, winter clothing, and materials necessary to maintain water, sanitation, and hygiene services.

Haq noted that nearly 90 percent of the rejected requests came from more than 330 local and international NGOs. The UN highlighted that these restrictions are significantly affecting humanitarian efforts, leaving critical aid unable to reach vulnerable populations in need.

The situation underscores ongoing challenges in delivering humanitarian assistance to Gaza, even after the ceasefire, and has drawn concern from international organizations calling for improved access to ensure the timely provision of essential services and relief materials.
