The Punjab government has announced 110 job openings in its Tourism, Archaeology & Museums Department, offering monthly salaries between Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 450,000. The hiring drive falls under a project titled "Establishment of Tourism & Heritage Development Force for Revival of Built Heritage," according to an official advertisement.

The vacancies span 31 distinct positions covering administrative, technical and heritage restoration roles. These include Cultural Heritage Expert, Admin Officer, Photographer, Field Supervisor and a range of traditional artisan posts. The Cultural Heritage Expert and Project Coordinator role carries the highest salary at Rs. 450,000 per month, while most other positions fall in the Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 200,000 range.

Pay is fixed under the government's Project Pay Scale (PPS) system. Professional and administrative roles require relevant bachelor's or master's degrees, diplomas and experience ranging from two to 15 years or more, depending on the position. The department is also recruiting experienced artisans in fresco painting, tile work, masonry, wood carving, stone restoration and pottery, with most of these roles demanding five to 20 years of practical experience.

Applicants must hold a Punjab domicile and satisfy the educational qualifications, experience and age limits set for their chosen position, with general age relaxation applied in line with Punjab government rules. The department has set November 20, 2026 as the deadline for applications.

Candidates can apply online through the Punjab Jobs Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk. Applicants need to register or log in, complete their profiles and search for vacancies advertised by the Tourism, Archaeology & Museums Department to submit their applications.

The initiative is positioned as part of efforts to revive built heritage across the province, with the new force expected to combine professional expertise and traditional craft skills to support restoration work.
